- Insight in the toxicological aspects of drugs and food products, cosmetics, household chemicals, etc
- Ability to carry out experimental research and to interpret results in a multidisiplinary context. The ability to critically evaluate scientific literature
- Insight and skills in methodologies to carry out quality control and quality assurance, including applications in the pharmaceutical industry and in biotechnology

PHARMACEUTICAL END
TERMS IN PROFESSIONAL ASPECTS
- Sufficient knowledge on the basic and practical aspects of pharmacy as a profession, including labour aspects and environmental implications
- Sufficient knowledge and skills (partly obtained through in-service training) to work as pharmacist
- Ability to build a professional relationship with patients as well as physicians, supported by social skills and insight in social and ethical aspects
- Insight and skills in pharmacotherapy to provide adequate treatment and counselling of the individual patient (pharmaceutical care) as well as counselling to the prescribers
- Knowledge of the managerial, judicial and ethical aspects in the pharmacy profession.
